What is grunt?

Grunt is a traditional fruit dessert from the east coast of the United States. It is produced by stewing fresh fruit or berries and then falling large pins on the biscuits to the top. The dough is steam cooked through the leakage of steam from the fruit and can be completed in the oven for a very short time, so it has a sharp, brown top. Creating grunts is very easy and dessert is especially popular in summer, along with similar desserts such as cobbles and chips. For people who have a lot of fruit, but no energy to make cakes, the grunt is an excellent alternative. An alternative name for dessert is a "slump", a reference to the way in which the dough of biscuits falls into berries when they cook. Whether this is called anything, grunting can be served hot or cold, accompanied by whipped cream or ice cream, and the recipe can be infinitely modified and seasonally available fruit.

To growl, chopped fresh fruit or berries mixed with water and cHidden in a heavy cast iron pan and cooks on top of the stove. In general, for every four cups of berries, approximately one cup of water should be used, while the sugar was added to the taste. Other ingredients such as ginger or cinnamon may be added. The berries are boiled in a mixture of sugar and water until a strong syrup is formed and then the biscuit is falling to the top.

Once the dough is added to the biscuits, there are two ways to proceed with gorge. To create a traditional growl, the cook covers the pan and cooks it on top of the stove until the dough is cooked for about 15 to 20 minutes. Chefs who prefer a crispy peak can bake the murder, uncovered, in the oven for 15 minutes, allowing the upper part of the desserts to be golden brown.

While traditional grunt requires biscuits dough, the dough could also be used. Ingredients such as buttermilk or yogurt can be mixed for more spicy taste and lemon zest, dried currants and other supplements. Coverage pieces of dough in svTLE of sugar scattering before cooking creates a caramelized, sweet bay that younger consumers enjoy. Grunting should be allowed to sit for at least 10 minutes before serving.
