What is Jawbreaker?

Jawbreaker, also called Gobstopper or Jawbuster, is a type of spherical hard candy that is very difficult to bite. Instead, the jaw is often popular with children because it lasts for an hour or two and must be sucked in to wear candies. No one has ever invented a beautiful eternal gobstopper that plays an important role in the beloved book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roalda Dahl. Yet the average gobstopper may take some time. There is evidence that other confectionery manufacturers also created similar candy in the style of the jaws before the introduction of Ferrara Mr. at the beginning of the 20th century. Ferrara Pan is still known as one of the first to commercially produce jaws in large quantities.

The mystery of the long -term nature of the jaw is the way the candy is produced. The creation of the jaw takes two to three weeks using what is called the Hot-Mov process. Adding grains of individual sugars, one by one, to large, hot rotating canisters or "pelvis" creates candies. LaterEven in this process, the jaws receive a color coating and leave the inside of the white candy. Some versions have color layers, which makes the jaw interesting to eat, because you continue to suck on candies. The taste adds during the scroll process. This grain process after grain causes exceptionally hard candies that are not easy to disintegrate.

Although the first jaws were small candies usually about 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) on average, the interest increased when creating larger sizes. Today you will find jaws that barely fit in their mouths, and they probably wouldn't have, because they pose a danger of suffocating. Instead, Velkjawbreaker should be held in hand and sucked until it is small enough to fit into the mouth. It may take several hours or even days to get this size.

Jawbreaker comes in various flavors. Some prefer those that have a large part of citric acid to create a very acidic taste. Atomic fiery balls developed in 1954 by Ferrara Pan includesHot cinnamon taste into the jaws.

There were some concerns about large candy jaws exploding when they were exposed to high heat. In 2003, nine -year -old Taquandra Diggs gained heavy burns when she put her jaw into her mouth, which was left in the sun. The hosts of the TV show mythbusters wanted to find out if the story was accurate, and the microwaves of several jaws tried to replicate the circumstances of the disaster. Jawbreakers exploded and two of the hosts of the show were burned. Due to these information, it is good to keep the jaws stored in a cool and dry place, Away from heat sources.
