What is the shuttle?
The shuttle is an exercise in which the participant runs back and forth between two points, sometimes moving blocks or other objects from one point to another, as quickly as possible. It is part of various physical fitness tests, including the President of the President for a Challenge, which is given to children at school during physical education classes. Many athletes also use a shuttle as a training tool and as a benchmark that measures their athletic progress during training.
You want to set the shuttle, store tags such as lines of tape or plastic cones, a certain distance apart. The rules of the President of the Challenge claim that the brands should be 30 feet apart (9.1 m), but other fitness tests and shuttles carried out for fitness reasons and training may vary. The placing of the brands further makes the test better with the level of sprinting, and at the same time the brand is closer to each other measure the ability of the participant to turn, bend, get up and then accelerate again.
The participant starts behind one mark, sprints to the other, touches the ground, sprints back, and then completes this cycle to finish the shuttle. Fitness tests with strict rules will usually require the participant to lift a wooden block or other object from the ground at one brand and transfer it back to another to ensure that it actually touches the ground between sprints. The gym or training partner should become a runner and time, often for a tenth of a second, so that it can be evaluated in the case of fitness challenges and in future training.
In some tests, the shuttle can be done several times, with the best time for scoring purposes. In addition to changing the distance between the marks and whether the participant is mandatory to transfer the block -on -board and back can be made further modifications if they allow them the rules of a particular fitness test. For example, the number of sprints can be changed, either to one sprint back and forth, or more often includes several othersiteration. If athletes use a shuttle for training purposes, it may be beneficial to significantly increase the number of sprints in the exercise and create intensive training training. In addition, the shuttle fitness test can be served more to the participants at the same time by letting them be aligned next to the longer starting line and running the shuttle at the same time, although it is harder to watch the time of individual participants using this version.
