What is Strauss?
Strauss, often called Strausswirtshaft, is a type of pub and wine trade in German -speaking countries. These devices were first created as places where people taste and buy wines sold directly by Vintner, and developed to include foods that complement the taste of wines. In most cases, the primary focus of Strauss is the sale of wine. These taverns are still owned by winemakers and can be found in these areas of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where grapes are grown for wine.
Historically, Strauss was open only seasonally when wine was annual wine so that the winemakers could sell their wine directly to the public. Owners allow people in this area to know that the trade was an open display of a flower volume, called Strauss, a way these stores have become known by their current name. In addition to the wine, many of these taverns also sold their own distilled liqueurs and simple, cold meals. Currently the laws that regulate the operation of these pubs reportthat they can serve food if it is simple, traditional German or local cuisine.
In most cases, Strauss is owned by Vintner and is used primarily as a place to sell wine directly to the public. This type of trade is often exempt from certain taxes subject to restaurants. There are a number of qualifications that the horse -tavern must encounter in order to be considered Strauss for tax purposes. Tavern can be operated seasonally and for a maximum of four months each year. Wine, must and liqueur made on site are the only types of alcohol allowed in Strauss and the owner must not do business as a inn by renting rooms.
historically, the Strauss were placed in the vineyards. Many of these taverns were placed in agricultural buildings, such as barn or stables that provide an open ground plan that could accommodate many guests. Although many Strauss are still placed in rProvical buildings, their popularity in recent decades has led to the development of pubs that are more upscale. Whether they are large or small, Strauss may not have more than 40 seats, although there is no regulation about how many people can be in a real building that can have a large bar for the people in which they can happen.
