What is Aloo Paratha?

ALOO Paratha is an Indian flat bread consisting of unleavened dough wrapped around potato curry. It is generally cooked on a grid or pelvis. Aloo Paratha is a popular breakfast bread in India, but is also consumed with any food or as a snack.

Paratha is a simple unleavened flat bread that can be cooked simple or filled with some of the different fillings. The basic parathha includes brushing of cleaned butter, called ghee , over the dough, then folds the dough and rolls it again and repeats it several times. When cooking, they form a scaly peel similar to pastries. Filled parathy are often filled with a mixture of spicy vegetables instead of butter and folding the dough - in the case of ALOO Paratha, potatoes are usually the only vegetables in the filling.

The most basic paratha dough consists only of wheat flour and water mixed in a ratio that creates a soft dough. Some dough for Paratha also includes salt and a little butter or salute. Once the dough is the right consistency, it is kneaded for a few minutes, DIt is not soft and smooth, and then let it rest for about half an hour. Then they knead them for a few minutes and divide them into small balls to create individual Aloo Parathas.

Aloo Paratha filling usually consists of potato potatoes mixed with different spices - any type of potato can be used. The spices mixed with mashed potatoes vary depending on the taste that the chef wants. The common spices used are cumin; Coriander, also called cilantro; and dry mustard. Masala spices such as Garam Masala or Chaat Masala can also be used. For spicy Aloo Paratha can be used dried red chili flakes or chopped fresh chili.

Aloo parathhas are cooked over low heat in small butter or oil. A traditional pan used to cook ParathaS is called tava - a large grid usually made of iron or steel. However, a grate or a cast -iron pan also works for cooking paraths.

In India, Aloo Paratha is often served for breakfast. Common escorts include yogurt, cucumbers and butter. It can also be served with curry or chutney at any time.
