What is Apple Charlotte?
Apple Charlotte is an American dessert similar to apple cake, but instead of traditional cake bark is made of bread. In some respects, Apple Charlotte resembles bread pudding or similar food in that it can be excellent use for older or musty bread in the production of a relatively simple and tasty dessert. Although the faning version can be made using Ladyfingers or similar bread biscuits, traditionally food is produced by a filling of apple cake and a bark made of white bread, such as French bread.
It can also be an excellent recipe for anyone who likes baking, but does not have time or ingredients to create a bark. Apple Charlotte is a great way to make a delicious dessert without the effort to prepare a cake bark, but with all taste and crazy texture found inside a traditional apple cake. It is also easy to make that accurate measurements are not required, making it a perfect delicacy with children or uninhabited cookS.
Usually Apple Charlotte begins in almost the same way as an apple cake. The filling is relatively similar to the apple cake and includes peeling and slicing a series of large apples, usually around four or five, depending on the required portion. These are sliced and can be used either raw or cooked for a thick sauce.
To cook apples for filling, slices should be combined with some butter in a large pan. They are cooked at medium -low heat to allow the butter to melt and softened the apples in a pan and stirring while stirring to ensure nothing sticks or burning. When the apples are cooked, a small amount of sugar and spices such as cinnamon, nut and Apple Pie spice can be added to the mixture. Once the apples are soft and reached a strong gelatin consistency, they should be removed from the heat and left to cool. A small quantity of a tank can also be added for even more taste.
four or five slices of white bread, such as French bread, should be prepared by cutting crust and cutting them into cubes. Bread cubes are planted in the bottom of butter bowl or bakery pan and a mixture of apples is pouring. This can end with several slices of butter and reserved bark of bread, which are often processed into crumbs of bread for a finer texture. Apple Charlotte is then baked until the apples are soft and the icing is golden brown, then removed from the oven and allowed to cool before serving, often with whipped cream, vanilla pudding or vanilla ice cream.
