What is the elevation?

Elots are among the most popular street food in Brazil. The pastry is available in food trolley, fast food restaurants and petrol stations. It is a piece of stuffed bread that comes with different fillings such as meat, seafood, seasonal vegetables, cheese and sauces. However, similarities to other types of pastries such as Momo, Calzone, Samosa or Empanada differ different properties from them. Large elevations are often served for dinner and feed several people. The smaller version is known in Portuguese as an Engadinha, translated into English as a "small elevation". The mini version is popular refreshments and is widely available throughout Brazil. People buy them from fast food restaurants, street retailers, sports events and as a possibility to catch and on the market. The dough is pushed into the battery form and filled. The upper layer of the bark is sealed over the mold and butter or egg white on the bark. The elevation is then baked. Can be served hot, warm or cold, depending on personal preferenky.

This is a versatile meal due to many available filling options. Brazilians usually like to fulfill a seasonal or local fare. Traditional epades can be filled with crushed chicken, olives and hearts of the palms, but other options are spread to shrimp, fish, red meat and any number of vegetables. Cheese options are also available and are usually open instead of having the upper layer of the bark. Creamy or tomato sauce can also be included in the combinations.

Olives hold a special honorary place in the Elpy. Traditionalists insist on the inclusion of olives in food regardless of other fillers used. The Brazilian term "Olive in Engadinha" "This means something that is necessary and beneficial, is assumed to represent the importance of olives for a bowl.

Elpadas are often confused with Empanada; Despite similar names, both pastries have different properties. Empanadas usually have the shape of a semicircle instead of inOut of rounded elevations. It is also more likely to be filled with beef and have a harder, less scaly bark. Refreshments are also similar, but remain different from stuffed bread food popular in other countries. These include Tibet and Nepal's Fried Momos, Italy's Calzones and Samosas Southeast Asia.
