What is the English muffin?

English muffins are in a family of yeast breads that are fried on a grate rather than roast. They do not like conventional American muffins, which are made of sweet batches of similar cakes. The interior of the English muffin is roughly textured, with large holes caused by gas bubbles that extend during the rapid cooking process. Generally, the English muffin is served divided, roasted and overwhelmed with butter and jam. Both are made of yeast doughs that are cooked on the grate. Krumptes, however, have a lively, pale upper part, instead of the uniform upper and lower part of the English muffin. Kumpets are not half -divided before meals and are strongly associated with British history, unlike English muffin, which was probably developed in the United States at the end of the 18th century. The texture of English muffin is chewing, rich and dense. Many producers before cooking will make their English muffins incorn icing to add a texture to the finished product. Numerous holes in the porous English muffin also produce ideal traps for butter and icing.
