What is Bitters angostura?

While bitterness was originally developed as a medicine, today the bitter beverage is an alcoholic beverage that people usually drink as a digestif to help the body spend food after eating or as an additive to flavor other alcoholic beverages. Angostura® Bitters has been developed as a cure for the treatment of hiccups and digestive problems, but today it is more often used as a component in baking and cooking or as a component in other alcoholic beverages. The Angostra® Bitters recipe continues to be one of the most guarded trade secrets in the world.

In 1820, German physician Johann Siegert moved to Venezuela in the hope that Simon Bolivar will help overthrow the Spanish ruler of the South American country. While he was developing a tonic, Dr. Siegerta was worried about the number of people who came down with heavy fever and stomach problems. These health problems had a negative impact on Revolution because so many soldiers fell ill. In 1824 Dr. Siegert developed his "AMARGO AROMATICO" from Tropickthe plants and herbs he located. Bitters was so successful that the product began to be exported to England and Trinidad in 1830. Politics in Venezuela continued to be problematic. As a result, Dr. Siegert eventually moved Angostura® Bitters to Trinidad, where this bitter bitter continues to be produced. Bitters may contain ingredients such as chinin, angostura, cut flowers, Cassia and orange peel.
