What is Bara Brith?

Bara Brith is a traditional Welsh bread that is served in bakeries and tea rooms throughout Wales. Sometimes it is called a cake, for adding dried fruit and spices, but because Bara Brith is made of bread dough, it is technically classified as bread. Usually, warm and butter and very well toasts are given if there are any remnants.

In the Welsh name means "spotted bread", a reference to color spots created by adding raisins and currants.
