What is Charlotte Russe?

Charlotte is a dessert that has been produced in various forms since the 16th century. Today's Charlottes benefits from modern cooling, because they are typically forms of mushroom cake or other types of bread or Ladyfingers, laminated with cream or cream and fruit. The whole dessert is chilled, often in a large bowl, and when it is ready, it is turned and served upside down. Sweet Charlottes could be compared to a little up.

Charlotte Russe is a special type of Charlotte, which refers to the Russian Tsar Alexander I (Russe is French for Russian). This particular version was the creation of Marie Antoine Carême and invented in the early 19th century. Carême was a renowned French chef, at work Cara. There are several different accounts about who created a recipe for Charlotte Russ when it happened and who was really named. Some suggest that Carême only improvised the recipe long known and created for the queenucharlotte from England and others say that the dessert was named afterSister in the law of Alexander I, which was also named Charlotte.

No matter what origin, Charlotte Russe is usually considered to be a shaped French dessert made by a bowl or small individual cups with soft Ladyfingers. Madelines can be designed in some recipes instead. The form is then filled with Bavarian cream, gelatin thickened by vanilla pudding. As soon as the dessert is cooled, it is turned to the bowl. Presentation, provided that the pudding is dense and is not a cold, can be exciting. Cutting on the mold layers reveals a beautiful cake Ladyfinger surrounding a layer of vanilla pudding.

The

variant of Charlotte Russe, called the same name, was suddenly popular in Brooklyn. This replaced virtually all elements of the original. Instead of using Ladyfingers was a roasted mushroom cakes and spilled with cream and chocolate sprinkling. The desert was often zdOben with the icing. This would certainly be an easier version, because you do not have to go through the process of crushing desserts, but it would not be satisfied for purists.

Some complain that Charlotte Russe is too simple, but this can be easily corrected by serving fruit with cake. Decorate the slice of Charlotte Russ with fresh strawberries, peach or wild berries to add another taste and texture to the bowl. If you are not interested in creating an authentic version, you can change many aspects of this dessert. You could use a chocolate mouse in the middle, replace any variety of mushroom cake for Ladyfingers, or sprinkle top toasted almonds.
