What is corn whiskey?

The

maize whiskey denotes various distilled liqueur produced by a certain percentage of corn porridge. Basic corn whiskey, historically type of liqueur of moonlight, contains the highest percentage of corn porridge and, unlike other varieties, does not require aging. Another American liqueur distilled from corn is Bourbon, which ages in oak barrels for the minimum legally specified period, allowing it to develop more complex taste and color than with unprecedented alcohol. All corn whiskey is distilled to at least 40% alcohol (80 evidence), although Bourbon is produced under the legal maximum for alcohol and evidence.

Bourbon whiskey was originally produced in the historic region of Bourbon County in Kentucky. Unlike equal corn whiskey, Bourbon is a recognized product of the United States and has several legal restrictions on its production and distribution. Under the law, the bourbon must be distilled from at least 51% of the corn porridge and cannot be suffered below 40% alcohol (80 evidence) or above 80% alcohol (160 evidence). US law also stipulates that bourbon is old in oak barrels and cannot containadded taste or color. Most Bourbon exceeds these quality limitations and is marked as straight bourbon whiskey, generally, aging four or more years.

Bourbon is one of the most popular and most produced alcoholic beverages in the United States, with the main production areas traditionally lies in Kentucky and Tennessee, although produced in many other regions. It is a flexible liqueur that is dissectable straight and mixed in many cocktails. When it comes to popularity, legality and production, Bourbon is corn whiskey selection.
