What is yogurt Crock Pot®?
Crock Pot® Yogurt is a yogurt that is ready at home in a slow stove. Using a slow cooker or Crock Pot® to produce yogurt can be cheaper than buying commercially made yoghurt. Yogurt with a slow cooker can be easier to prepare than yoghurt traditional way, as a slow stove regulates the temperature, but can show thinner than other yoghurts. The composition in the Crock Pot® yogurt usually includes whole milk and the yoghurt appetizer, as well as other flavors and sweeteners.
To produce yogurt, milk must be heated to 185 degrees Fahrenheit (85 degrees Celsius). It should then be cooled to a temperature of 120 degrees Fahrenheit (49 degrees Celsius). The heating and cooling process in a slow cooker can take up to five or six hours.
In order to allow bacteria to grow, milk must remain at warm temperature. However, temperatures above 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) will kill the bacteria. Slow stove maintains temperature aid without overheating of milk.
Although a slow cooker is turned on during the initial stepIn the production of Crock Pot® yogurt, it is turned off when the milk cools and ferment. Because the slow cooker is insulated, it maintains the temperature of the milk even when disconnected. Some people also pack a slow cooker in towels or blankets, while milk ferment for further insulation. The fermentation process usually takes about eight hours.
To ferment properly, Crock Pot® Yogurt requires some bacterial culture or yoghurt starter. Many people simply use a 1/2 cup of ordinary commercially made yogurt as a starter for the first time when they prepare yogurt. The small amount of Crock Pot® yogurt itself can be used as a starter for the next prepared yogurt. Yogurt Starter must have live bacterial cultures in it, otherwise fermentation will not work.
fermented, yogurt can be tasted with fruit or sweeteners. Some people simply mixed the sliced fresh fruit into yoghurt. Another option is to add yogurt and ovoCE to the blender and puree to smooth. If yogurt is not sweet enough, one can add honey or sugar to it. Cocoa powder or chocolate syrup can be mixed for yogurt dessert.
yogurt made in a slow stove can be thinner than commercially available yogurt. Adding a teaspoon of gelatin can thicken the yoghurt or can be tight with cheese fabric or paper coffee filters to remove excess liquid.
