What is a fusion cooking?

Fusion cooking, also commonly called Fusion Cuisine, is the practice of combining food and cooking styles from various sources and creating new meals and a combination of taste. The trend, which is usually perceived as popularized in the 70s, usually pairs unusual spices and food from different groups in an effort to create a unique taste. Fusion cooking is usually accepted by fans of progressive cuisine and avoid traditionalists. One combines cooking styles and flavors of several related areas or partial regions. Others commonly take traditional meals from one cultural or ethnic area and apply unique ingredients, spices, herbs and flavors from other kitchens to create new meals. The third fusion cooking category simply takes the basic method of preparing an established bowl and replaces the ingredients with those from a completely different kitchen.

Asian Fuscup ions is a good example of a combination of regional tastes and methods. This mixed cooking style often combines recipes and ingredients from Southeast Asia, eastAsia and India. The resulting meals are often tasty with a spicy sweet combination of spices and ingredients that are not commonly combined. A simple example of this style of fusion cooking would be a hamburger sandwich served with the icing of crab salad with a soft shell served in a restaurant on the east coast of the United States known for crabs with soft shells.

The latest commonly applied approach to cooking fusion takes traditional food and replaces the ingredients with those from a completely different style of cultural cooking. For example, conventional burrito, standard filled with meat, rice and beans, can instead be filled with fish, potatoes and broccoli. Another popular food item, which is often included in this category of fusion cooking, is pizza. Rather than replenish the bark with traditional ingredients such as tomatoes, cheese mozzarella and Italian spices, the chef may decide that the layering of the watering like himShu pork, egg Foo Yung and fried wonton to create a Chinese cake.

The beginning of cooking the merger is often attributed to the famous chef Wolfgang Puck. It is generally attributed to the introduction of meals that combined the tastes of Asia and Europe when at the age of 70 opened its restaurant Chinois in California. The name Chinois was chosen because it is a French adjective that means a Chinese. California was reportedly selected for the location of the restaurant based on its geographical position halfway between Europe and Asia.
