What is Guarana tea?

Guarana tea is a type of herbal tea made with seeds of Guarana berries. The folded guaranin, which is found in tea, is considered almost identical to caffeine and is sometimes found in other products such as energy drinks. Many health benefits are associated with the consumption of Guaran tea, especially by improving cognitive functions and supporting healthy digestion. Negative side effects are similar to those that are associated with consumption of too much caffeine. This compound is also found in the seeds of these berries because the seeds are considered the most valuable and widely used part of the plant. The stimulative properties in guaranine are considered to be very similar to the properties found in caffeine, not the identical. In fact, some scientific resources do not distinguish any difference between Guaranin found in Guarana tea unlike Kaffeinund in typical black, green, oolong or mathe tea.

Unlike many herbal teas, the seeds of the Guarana plant are used to cook Guarana tea rather than to use leaves, twigs, stems or flowers from the plant. Such seeds are crushed and added to boiling water for approximately ten to fifteen minutes. Milk can be added to the finished product to add cream texture, and tea is often sweetened with sugar or honey. The typical cup of Guarana tea has a little more guaranin than the amount of caffeine found in a typical cup of black tea. Guarana tea is popularly consumed in South America.

There are many other perceived advantages of Guaran tea in addition to its stimulating properties. This can reduce the severity of migraines, avert depression, serve as a sexual stimulant and support certain benefits of the digestve system, despite the fact that guaranin is diuretic. Tea can also strengthen energy and fight some cognitive damage. Some sources report that it is also popular for combustionFats and weight loss, although such a claim has to be supported by the scientific community.

As typical of receiving too many caffeine drinks, drinking too many Guaran tea can also have adverse side effects. Anxiety, trembling, heart races and frequent urge to urinate can occur due to excessive consumption. It is recommended that pregnant women avoid consuming this tea, along with normal caffeine tea, coffee, soft drinks or energy drinks. Some energy drinks contain guaranin in addition to standard caffeine.
