What is Kheer?
Kheer, also called Payasam, is an Indian dessert similar to Western Rice. Kheer is one of the oldest desserts in the world that has been made in India and nearby cultures for more than 2000 years. The food is delicious and finely flavored dessert, ideal for the end of spicy food. The legend suggests that a man who lent money and rice to the poor king regretted him when he could not repay him in time. The lender suggested that the king use anything he had to make to Krishn instead of paying him back. In many temples today Kheer is cooked as a sacrifice to the gods almost daily and is also the basis of several religious festivals, weddings and banquets. This version of the pudding is a bit harder because of the strong adding coconut, but is delicious and often combined with a banana. Payasam is a basic meal at weddings and is especially popular in the South Indian state of Kerala.
Although food in India has been popularized, someThe experts believe that it is derived from the Persian food called Sheer Birinj. This variety comes in many flavors and often has rose water in the recipe. According to Persian legends, the clear birinj was fed by the food of the angels before the Muhammad prophet was brought to Earth.
In order for Kheer, Rice or Vermicelli to first roast in cleaned butter or ghee, and then add to the already boiling combination of milk, cream and sometimes condensed milk and sugar. It must be allowed to cook how milk decreases, and tempting substances such as cardamom, bay leaves or saffron can be added. When milk is reduced to half the original volume, you may want to add chopped nuts or raihříchy. The thickened pudding does not want to cool before cooling in the refrigerator.
Kheer decoration is traditionally simple, but very beautiful. Packages can consist of cracked almonds or bright green pistachios. Some recipes recommend icing with edible roses or petals. When Kheer is made from butter and whole milk or cream, it is usually not recommended for dietary. Yet the amazing taste of roasted and flavored rice is worth leinness, especially if you enjoy a fire Indian cuisine. Kheer is an excellent summer dessert when it is cooled, and is easy to prepare for the crowd when served in individual Ramekins or pudding cups.
