What is an organic food?

Definition of organic foods is constantly changing. Some people understand the term as a food grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, hormones or genetic modifications. Organic foods can apply to fruits and vegetables as well as meat, dairy products, eggs and poultry. Another label is "Certified Organic", which means that food meets certain standards that the state in the US, US or other countries has set as an organic definition. Some countries, such as Australia and the US, have strict percentage of organic ingredients for foods such as meat. For example, a cow fed less than 95% of organic feed could not be killed and sold as organic beef.

Organic foods can also be marked processes for food preparation. Things that are irradiated or ripened by chemical or artificial agents may not be called organic. But it really depends on how the abrasive state or country defines this term. Some people who are interested in eating organizationsThey define this term in a much more structured way than some states. Certainly avoiding pesticides is healthier. In addition, fruits and vegetables that are grown in an organic way can have a higher content of vitamin and minerals. Nevertheless, it is difficult for everyone to buy ecological foods, because worldwide production of food-marked food is only about 1-2% of the total food production.

Another problem with many foods that are grown organically is that, as a result, there is a significant loss of crops or even lower weights. The average organic sheep or cow, especially if growth hormones are not administered, may be smaller. The dairy product of cows that gives beef beef hormones will be lower. This is reflected in the consumer and the higher costs of organically grown food and not everyone can afford to eat organic all the time.

Although you may not be able toBuy ecological food due to costs, you can buy local foods that may have less workmanship. This does not mean that it is certified organic. For example, on many local farmers' markets you will find fruits and vegetables that have not grown with the use of pesticides. This may not cost so much because they lack certifications, but they can still be better for you than food grown pesticides.

For many environmentalists, the trend for the production of ecological foods that increases in the world is very good news. The use of things such as hormones, pesticides, chemicals and certainly genetic modifications of food causes considerable concern. Such products may have an overall effect on the ecosystem in which animals are raised or fruits and vegetables are grown. Increasing concerns about the aspects of pollution of many processes used in non -ecological agriculture can continue to increase the support of organic food cultivation methods.
