What is Patbings?
Patbings is a South Korean dessert made of shaved ice and various other ingredients. The name means "red beans' rice and sometimes it is portrayed in English as" Pat Bing Su ". Originally the recipe was quite simple, containing only shaved ice and harmonizing red beans with small rice cakes and often underground nuts. This version can still be found, but some recipes have become much more complicated. Patbings is served as a folded meal where each component is displayed in a clear layer, while its own dictates that it is mixed together just before eating.
The original meal was sold as a street food and appeared sometime at the end of the 50s or early 1960s. During that time, both Patbings and ICE POPs appeared.
