What is the lotus location?
Lotus position is a sitting Yoga Asan, which is often used for meditation practices. It can also be used as part of standard yoga practice to improve balance and opening hips. The Sanskrit name for the lotus position is Padmāana; It is referred to as the "lotus" position because it is said that the position of the legs resembled the shape of the lotus flower. As in any other asan, this position can take practice to achieve proper achievement, and it is important to listen to the body and not push it too far.
The full lotus position can be difficult to achieve for people who have stiffness on the sides or knees, and it is important not to force it if it causes pain. In general, people with knee damage should not try to get to the lotus position and instead should simply cross their legs if possible. People with otherwise healthy knees should find over time that it is easier to get into a position as the muscles stretch and relax. Then it can be possible in a position for a longer period of time, for example after a longer period of MEDITATION, because this position helps keep the spine properly aligned.
You want to get to the lotus position, sit on the floor; If this is not possible, the pads are added under the buttocks to open the hips more. Then cross the legs and place each leg on the opposite thigh, with the leg pointing up. The heel should be directed to the ground and drawn close to the body and the knees should ideally touch the floor, but at the beginning it may be difficult to achieve. This is another reason to use a pillow or pad.
It is also important to consider the rest of the body. The spine should be in a neutral position, which means that the person in the lotus position should sit straight, but naturally, not to force the spine to the straight position of Ramrood. The shoulderos and hips should ideally be in line with the head, although some people allow the head to lean forward slightly, extending the back of the neck. But the weight of the head should notpull on the shoulders or neck because it can lead to discomfort. Once the body is in the right position, it should experience a sense of balance and comfort.
