What is the multi -stage fitness test?

A multi -stage fitness test is a physical test that athletes sometimes take to measure athletic improvement and measure maximum oxygen absorption or the amount of oxygen that the body can use during intensive exercise. Maximum oxygen absorption, sometimes written as VO2 Max, is a useful measure of aerobic fitness and a multi -stage fitness test is a relatively simple way to get an estimate.
