What is the Zumba® fitness program?
Fitness program Zumba® is a high energy training that is based on Latin music and dancing. A fitness trainer Beto Perez was created in his native Colombia. During the middle of the 90s, Perez arrived in his training studio to find out that he forgot to bring the music he used to teach aerobic courses. The only available music was on the CD he had in his car. CDs, a mixture of explosive salsa and meringue, were some of his favorite.
Perez decided to use music and improvise the aerobic movement for his students. The class was a success and the Zumba® Fitness program was born. Soon Zumba® classes were his most sought -after exercise in his fitness center. Perez eventually decided to take his program to the US. The aim was to offer Zumba® classes around the world. Their dream soon became a reality. As a result, a huge number of DVDs and videos were sold to the US market. The fitness program quickly became popular and won people with energy Latin inspired movements.
soon designed the Zumba® Fitness program for instructors training. Until 2006, Fitness boasted 2,000 instructors around the world. Two basic instructors are offered. Zumba® Basic Skills Instructor Training Workshop teaches instructors to teach Zumba® basic classes. The Zumba® Gold Workshop is designed to teach instructors on how to lead classes for older adults and those who start with exercise.
The word zumba is the Spanish slang for "move fast and have fun". This is Goal of all Zumba® training sessions. The trainers are encouraged to shake their hips, get lost in spicy Latin music, and pretend to be at a party. The followers of the Zumba® fitness program burns calories when they dance and have fun.
