What is Velveet's cheese?

Velveet® Cheese is a classic American cheese product known for its clear light orange color and smooth consistency. This processed cheese is a unique mixture that boasts excellent melting and is a favorite comfortable meal. Produced by Kraft Foods, Velveet® Cheese has existed since the beginning of the 20th century. It is sold in several countries around the world and is known in some places as Kraft Cheddar.

grocery stores sell Velveet® cheese in various size packages that come in block or slices. Is available in two samples: original or 2 % milk; 2 % formula has approximately half of the fat content in the original. The flavors include original American cheese, pepper jack and Mexican mild. Other Velveet® products include shells and cheese and porridge, knurled or au gratin potatoes.

In some countries, laws require Velveet® to be marked as cheese or cheese product because it is processed cheese. Atýběelveeta®, Kraft combines normal cheese with other ingredients to form a specific mixture of cheeses. The added ingredients in the processed cheese include emulsifiers that provide a velvet texture that makes American cheese products so rich and easy to melt.

The main ingredients found in Velveet® cheese include milk, milk concentrate, milk fat, water, whey and whey protein concentrate. Sodium products are added as preservatives to extend the durability of cheese and the food color gives Velveet® its orange color. Enzymes and cheese cultures are included in patterns that give smooth cheese uniform consistency and soft texture.

nutritionally, 1-ounce (about 28 gram) portion of Velveet® cheese has approximately 80 calories. This portion size contains 3 g of carbohydrates, 6 g of fat and 5 g of protein. Velveet® does not have trans -uky and provide a small amount of vitamin and and limeku. One portion also has approximately 25 mg cholesterol and 410 mg sodium.

Kraft Food Corporation introduced Velveet® as a healthy cheese product that is also affordable and tasty. The nutritional elements found in whey were the basis for creating Velveet®. Whey is a bi-product of the natural process of making cheese and is the main ingredient in Velveet® cheese. At the age of 30, Velveet® became the first cheese product to approve the US Medical Association.

Kraft designed a significant logo for the Velveet® cheese that is still used to this day. The logo contains the name Velveet® in fat red letters inside white oval shape that creates brand recognition. Favorite meals using processed cheese include macarones and cheese, grilled cheese sandwiches and cheeseburgers.
