What are energy drinks?

Energy drinks are drinks that are designed to provide consumers with energy explosion. Since 1900, there have been different forms, but in the 1960s they actually began to increase to popularity, especially in Japan and other Asian countries. In the mid -90s they arrived in the United States and Europe, where they were extremely popular. Most of them are sold in young people, with advertising campaigns that focus on this age group.

The energy drink content varies. Most of them contain stimulants and methylxanthins such as caffeine and theobromine, one of the active ingredients in chocolate. They are also full of sugars and may include herbal ingredients such as Ginkgo Biloba. Herbal ingredients are usually launched as unusual and highly strengthening, and some companies suggest that herbs that people make more intelligent and also alert.

There is a certain danger for energy drinks. People who have health problems such as dizziness, heart palpitations and a general sense of malaise after consuming energy drinks should avoid them and consult a doctor if the symptoms continue.
