What is Gin Fizz?
Gin Fizz is a type of cocktail that is produced with lemon juice, sugar, soda and gin. Usually it wasn't served through ice. The cocktail was a variant of acid gin and grew in popularity because the carbonated sodal water was more accessible by oxide. Unlike the modern canned club soda, Soda was used in Fizz Gin, because the drink was prepared using a soda siphon. Tom Collins was also usually made with a special GINA brand, known as Old Tom Gin, which was sweeter, that simple gin. Both drinks became similar, because old Tom Gin became more rare at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st century and many bars and restaurants simply use regular GIN for Fizz and Tom Collins. Drinks can also be fed on ice in the current times and sugar and lemon juice could be replaced by a pre -made acid mixture. Freshly carbonated soda water is also rare in modern times.
