What is Kani salad?

Kani salad is a Japanese salad, which consists mainly of imitation crab sticks. The "crab" is actually made up of white fish that are condensed into sticks and is slightly cheaper than real crab meat. Kani salad is served in most Japanese restaurants with other ingredients such as cucumber, mango and panko, which is crispy crumbs of bread, and tends to be a bit spicy.
