What is the pilates tower?

Pilates tower is an exercise apparatus that is designed to bring another challenge to the Pilates Reformer Training. The tower is sold as optional accessories. Usually it is a flat rectangular structure, often made of narrow plates or metal pipes, which costs anywhere from 3 to 5 feet (about 1 to 1.5 m) from the ground. The tower may include a number of straps, rings and flaps that create tension and increase the intensity of a number of different sections and muscle movements.

Joseph Pilates has developed a training system that now bears its name in the mid -20 years as a way to join the mind and body in an effort to better health. The system is focused on the core of the body, especially the abdominal muscles. The original Pilates work was carried out exclusively on the mat, but over time it has also evolved to include some instrumentation. The Pilates tower is one of the means of a combination of work and device and can be used inside the studio or at home.

In almost all cases, the Pilates tower is attached to the reformer, another type of device. Pilates reformers are simple machines that experts can use to lead their movements Pilates, especially advanced techniques obtained on the mat. The reformers often resemble small sources of boxes on which the practitioner must lie or sit. The lower support panel usually moves on the track back and forwards and various straps and bars allow a number of targeted movements if they are always possible on the mat. The towers are usually designed to slip into the head or legs of the reformer and add even more exercise options.

The Pilates tower can also be mounted on the wall, although this approach is generally much more permanent. Mounted towers are rarely visible outside professional studies. More portable towers are very popular with home gyms or multipurpose spaces where they can be folded and stored from sight if it is not needed.

SpecIFIKA is changing my manufacturer. Some towers are universal and connect to almost any brand or reformer style. More specialized models must usually be purchased with regard to specific reformers. Usually there is also a certain difference in terms of what actually includes the Pilates tower. The most basic models have only straps, while more intense versions have weighted bars, pulleys and rings.

towers are the most popular among the most advanced pilates. While Mat and some reformers' work is intended for beginners, most sequences performed on the tower are considered advanced. The height of straps, rings and other functions adds a resistance that is difficult to adjust. More intermediate practices usually start with a fewer repetitions, but often have a difficult time to soften the exercise.
