What is Buttercream?

One of the most common cakes in America can be purchased in a number of varieties or made at home. Creamy, easy to spread and delicious icing is made from common ingredients. With the four main types to choose from the choice, which is just for your cookie, cake or top of the cupcake. American Buttercream is the most basic variety and often does not contain eggs. Slight changes in the basic recipe and adding various ingredients change the properties of the icing. Color, texture, durability and taste differ slightly for each type. Four main types are American, Swiss kiss, Italian kiss and French kiss.

The most basic type is American Buttercream. This is the icing that you can find on cakes in the local supermarket. When you buy a container of icing in a bakery aisle, you get American Version. Because its main ingredients are butter or shortening and sugar or other sweeteners, it has a very long life.

6 tatThe delicious icing is easier than an Italian meringue and has a longer durability than a French meringue. The Swiss kiss can keep up to five days at a room temperature and two to three weeks if it is cooled. It adds egg whites and corn syrup to the American variety, giving it a lighter structure and taste.

Bakeries also use Italian meringues for their confectionery. The ingredients are very similar to the Swiss meringue, but the process is more complicated. First, the baker has to make a Swiss meringue and then add it to the butter. The end product is similar to the Swiss meringue, but the Italian cream cream tends to be sweeter.

The fourth main type is French cream cream. It differs from Swiss and Italian versions because it uses whole eggs rather than just white. It gives the top of the icing yellow color. The egg yolks will shorten the life of the warehouse and the French cream cream should not be stored at the room temperature.

No matter what type you choose, you will definitely add a delicious layer to the desserts. American, Swiss,Italian or French, each icing has its own clear taste and qualities, but everyone shares the ability to make the cake a delicious work of art.
