What is Capellini?
Capellini is a thin spaghetti often called pasta with angel hair. It is the shape of spaghetti, but about a third of its width and is made and sold as long sticks or in circular bundles that look like nests. As with other forms of pasta, Capellini is usually made of flour, eggs and salt and boiled in boiling water. Due to its thinness, however, it can cook faster and is most often accompanied by lighter sauces than those served with thicker pasta. Some consider angelic hair and capellini as separate varieties, one smaller than the other, but they are both synonymous.
