What is Crab Rangún?

Crab Rangún is a type of appetizer consisting of cream cheese, crab meat and spices wrapped inside Wonton. It was assumed that in America it came as Asian treatment, this meal is popular at parties and it is an appetizer of a base served in American Chinese restaurants, but in China it is not a common meal. A certain consistency is required to prepare crab rangnu, but there are many variations of recipes, most of which include deep frying ingredients-filled Wonton.

Most crab rangoon variations include cream cheese and inserted or imitative crab meat along with leek or green onion and spices. The spices differ and include garlic, steak sauce, soy sauce, seasonal salt and onion powder. In most recipes, the ingredients are mixed together and then placed with spoons on the prepared woutton packaging. Wonton packaging is then folded either into triangles or flower shapes and fried in vegetable oil until they are golden brown.

There is no standard sauce, but popular options include sweet and sour sauce, soy sauce and hot mustard. However, many people enjoy rangún crabs, which served simple, especially when it is well spicy.
