What is Garcinia Cambogia?

Garcinia Cambogia is a small fruit that resembles a miniature pumpkin. It is indigenous for India and parts of Asia and fruit and bark extract is popular in many natural weight loss products. The extract is hydroxycitonic acid (HCA) , claimed to suppress appetite and increase fat burning. Animal research supports these claims, but subsequent attempts at man were ambiguous. Inhibition of this enzyme is assumed that the body instead increases carbohydrate oxidation or simply insert other carbohydrates. In animal studies, it has been found that Garcinia Cambogia reduces food intake by suppressing appetite and also reduces body fat. Human experiments were less clear. While some double -blind studies using Garcinia Cambogia and Placebo have shown the HCA group as double or triple over the Over weight and the 12 -week period compared to the control group, other studies showed less promising result.

Journal of American Medical Association (Jama) has published a study that used a daily dose of 1500 mg HCA for 12 weeks in healthy adults with overweight. At the end of the study, the Garcinia Cambogia group did not see a statistically different weight loss from the control group. However, this study has been criticized by some, claiming that a high fiber diet used in a study probably disrupted the body's ability to absorb HCA. Unfortunately, the study did not test the subjects to see if HCA was found in cells where it would become active.

Garcinia Cambogia is reportedly not known to any adverse effects in healthy adults, but there are also some people who are recommended not to take it. According to experts, this includes children, pregnant and lactjeny, women who have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, and people with Alzheimer or other forms of dementia. In the case of Alzheimer's patients it is assumed that HCA can form acetylcholineIn the brain, while diabetics could be affected by the tendency of HCA to reduce blood sugar. On the other hand, in healthy adults, this latter can allegedly reduce the desire for sweets and carbohydrates.

Garcinia Cambogia is usually sold in the form of capsules, standardized to include a percentage of HCA, active substances. Generally, only brands standardized to 50% or higher HCA are recommended. For maximum effect, the daily dose is divided into three parts, taking one or more capsules 30-60 minutes before breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Some manufacturers claim that Garcinia Cambogia must be built in the system before it can be achieved. It has also been proposed that HCA can help people who have already achieved their ideal weight to keep it. The food and drug administration (FDA) is not regulated by Garcinia Cambogia. People who are considering expanding a healthy diet and exercise regime with herbal aids such as HCA should see their doctors for personal advice.
