What is the sauce?
The sauce is a rich tasting and a generally fattening sauce, most often made of drops and juices from cooking meat, although almost any reinforced sauce can be described as a sauce. To create the sauce, excess grease is removed and the remaining juice is densified, most often by adding flour or starch of corn and mixing until smooth.
To avoid the preparation of the coarse sauce, mix the corn starch with a little water until it dissolves, then pour the mixture into the boiling liquid and mix quickly until it is thick and smooth. Turn the heat and cook a few minutes longer. Corn starch has fewer calories than flour and seems to absorb less taste. Flour can create a faint taste unless it is first made in Roux by mixing with butter. Some people also like to add a little food color or brownish sauce like a kitchen bouquet to give it a richer color and look more taste.
Sauce can be made of droplets of various masses, including turkey, chicken, pork and beef. Breakfast sauce can be made of sausage drops by reinforcing and adding milk for a creamy consistency. Sausage bits can also be mixed for added taste. The sausage sauce is generally served above the biscuit, as a traditional popular southern style, although it can also be served with toast. Milk sauce can also be made of other meat and served on other meals in addition to breakfast. It is often served with biscuits, via potatoes or loaded directly through the meat.
Creating a sauce most likely began as a way to avoid waste. The use of each piece of available food was often necessary in the past. When one was able to make the whole pan with the sauce of meat remains, a little flour and a little water, it could expand the food and make it not only richer and tastier, but also more filling.
There are also different types prepared for us that are available in most grocery stores. Come in cans andcontainers or envelopes of dry mixture. Laughter is simple to produce and usually only require water adding. There are different brands, most of which are very affordable. Look for these products near soups and other sauces or near other envelopes of dry spices.
