What is slim muscles?
Fitness experts generally describe the composition of the body in terms of two categories: fat body mass and slim body mass. Fat body mass includes all fat tissue tissue, while lean body mass includes everything else, such as bones, organs and muscles. The term lean muscles therefore concern the fact that the muscle is part of lean body mass. These two components are usually measured in a ratio or percentage. The percentage of body fat, the amount of body composed of fat, becomes an increasingly popular way to measure the level of fitness.
In previous decades, the individual has generally been considered to be overweight or underweight on the basis of how much this person weighed in relation to his height. The medical community still uses measures called body weight index (BMI) to evaluate human weight and determine whether it is healthy or must increase or lose weight. BMI is based purely on weight measurement, measured in kilograms, divided by a square height of the individual in meters. This measurement workE as a rough estimate of fitness for most people, but for some circumstances is not accurate or appropriate.
The problem with this measurement is that it does not leave space for very athletic or very sedentary people to have a different body composition and therefore different levels of health. For example, an extremely sedentary person can be composed of 35 % body fat with a very small lean muscle and yet weigh the same as a bodybuilder with 6 % body fat and a huge amount of lean muscle. If these two individuals are the same height, they will also have the same BMI and will be considered the same condition.
At present, the fitness industry is a strongly populated products that declare that they allow the user to get rid of his fat while maintaining a slim muscle, the result of a sculptural, tinted figure. This goal is what most fitness trainers and athletes recommend to work. It is considered to be medically healthy advice becauseIt is much healthier for a person to have a large amount of lean muscle than for someone who has a large amount of body fat. Many fitness experts, doctors and medical institutions easily provide information on what percentage of body fat or fat -mass ratio to lean muscle and other lean body weight is healthy for each sex in different age groups and level of fitness.
