What is Masaman Curry?

Masaman curry is an ethnic meal usually considered part of Thai cuisine. This particular Thai meal is sometimes spent as Massaman Curry, usually created by a combination of relatively mild spices with coconut milk and several other ingredients. The Karista is often served with rice and sometimes with the form of pickled ginger or cucumbers.

The name for Kari comes from Muslim traders who brought the spices used in a bowl of India and the Middle East to the southern part of modern Thailand. One spelling of the name, Musulman , is simply an old form of the word "Muslim". In some areas, food is simply referred to as Muslim curry.

The preparation of this particular Thai food is relatively simple. While the recipes differ, the basic Masaman curry includes coconut milk, which is spicy with curry paste. The recipe is based on potatoes, some kind of beef, cashew and several other spices.
