What is pepper steak?

Pepper Steak is a Chinese-American meal with steak stripes strongly spicy pepper. It is assumed that it originates in the kitchen of Fujian province in China, where it was probably originally made of pork. This meal can be served as an appetizer or entrance with rice or noodles or separately. Sino-American restaurants have a pepper steak version on their menu and this food can be made at home very easily. In addition to being consumed hot, it can be consumed cold. Corn starch can be added to thicken the sauce. Some chefs add onions for further taste and food can also include chestnuts and other accessories. A lot of pepper is added to make the food strong and spicy and the food can include a mixture of different types of pepper. If it is desirable, spicy can be increased by adding hot peppers.

People produce different versions of this food in the United States since the least forties. Spices used in pepper steak tend to be stronger and heavier than spices in traditional Chinesemeals. In general, Chinese-American food often has bolder and more aggressive flavors, reflecting American tastes in food. The sauce can also be very soup, which is designed to absorb noodles or rice served along the pepper steak.

Cooks who are interested in making pepper steak at home can use various steak cuts. If the steak is difficult to cut, inserting into the freezer for several hours to strengthen it before it can be useful slicing.
