What is pistachio paste?

Paste Pistáchio is a smooth paste made of pistachio nuts. The paste is used to flavor pistachio puddings, creams, cakes, macarones, ice creams, cakes, biscuits and other desserts of pistachio. It can also be used to flavor other salty foods. While cooking with pistachios became quite prevailing in the western part of the world, it came from the central parts of Asia.

pistachios have been widely grown in desert areas in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Jordan and Nut Pistachia, it was known that they were very popular with Mughal, Assyrians and Persian Royal Families; For this reason, pistachios are often described as Shahi or "royal". In the Roman times, traders introduced pistachios into the western world, and pistachios began to grow in many European countries. Pistachius cultivation began on the US continent in California in the 1950s and was accelerated in the 70s when the US and Iran, the main exporter of the pistarHIE to the US, sour. Pistachios were also quite successful in dry areas of Australia and China.

There are more than a hundred varieties of pistachio, and this can mean a wide difference in size, color and taste. The nuts are selected when ripe, shells, dried and sorted and processed for the market. Pistachios are excellent to eat because they are rich in carbohydrates, fats, minerals and vitamins. Given that the harvesting and processing of these nuts is very intense manual work, however, pistachio and pistachia products can often be quite expensive.

Pistachio paste can be purchased in cash or made of raw pistachio. To make pistachio paste, raw pistachios are blanched, roasted and crushed. Other ingredients used in the production of paste include sugar, honey, water, almonds and butter. If a bright green paste is required, a green food color can be used. Sugar and honey canbe omitted in some cases, especially if the paste is to be used in bowls other than desserts.

When the paste is ready, it is sometimes mixed with butter to give it a smoother texture. The pistachio paste should be stored without adding butter and preferably in an airtight container in the refrigerator. If it is held in the refrigerator in an airtight container, pistachios paste can last up to a month.
