What is a raw package?

Raw packaging concerns the preservation procedure to fill glasses (or cans) of completely uncooked fruits or vegetables. This is unlike other preservation methods such as hot packs, where fruits or vegetables can be cooked for a few minutes and then instantly placed in cans and sealed. Each method can be used for a number of different foods, but some meals are more suitable for raw packaging than for hot packaging and vice versa. It is therefore not the case that the raw package avoids the placement of an extremely hot liquid in a canned container. This heat, in addition to the sterilization of the canning container, minimizes the risk that the food will be contaminated. In general, however, this form of canning is great when you want to preserve vegetarians or fruit in semi-uncoked form. It works particularly well -sized things that will be served crispy, such as pickled cucumbers or other pickled vegetables.

If you have preserved fruit, nEmailing to be raw packaging so effective, especially if you plan to store canned items for more than a few months. Most fruits, when exposed to air, begin to show a certain color within hours of the sliced. When you pack RAW, you leave a part of the air that the food already contains, and this can cause raw wrapped food to fade in a few months. Hot packaging can be preferable because cooking food for a few minutes can help maintain color and eliminate a part of the air that naturally contains fruit or vegetables. A good book book can help you determine whether the food you want to keep will work best with the raw or hot package method.

When you preserve at home, food safety should be essential. For this Reasyn, the Ministry of Agriculture of the United States (USDA), provides instructions on how to safely practice raw packaging. To keep your food fresh, pleasant and without contamination, it is very important to pay attention to these pto the shifts. They are available online in PDF format, and the most up -to -date cookbooks will also observe and explain the food safety protocol, whether raw package, hot packaging, or choose other food protection methods.
