What is siu mei?

Siu Mei refers to food that includes baking meat over an open fire on a spit. There are many different types of Siu Mei, depending on cooking meat, which may include pork, duck, goose or chicken. Each meat is marinated in a different tasty sauce containing spices and soy sauce. This meal is usually produced only in restaurants and families buy it as full food or use it as a folder in other meals. Modern methods usually prepare meat in a rotisser oven rather than over an open fire. Of all the regional styles of Chinese cuisine, Cantonian is one of the most famous around the world. In cities around the world, there are variations of Siu Mei in American-Chinese cuisine and China. Sauce also varies depending on the chef, although most traditionally contains soy sauce and five spices. Some sauces are associated with specific regions of China and can only be administered in these places.

There are several different SUI Mei varieties and the name varies depending on the meat. Grilled pork is known as cha of siu , while siu yuk is a crispy, pig pig. Most modern versions are cooked in a large oven, depending on the long skewers, which turn to rotate and evenly boil on all sides. It is common for families in China that they buy cooked meat from restaurants rather than making it at home.
