What is Varac?

Varac, which is also sometimes speaking "VARK" and "Varakh", is a product used in Indian kitchen to decorate sweets and pastries. It is an incredibly thin foil made of very pure silver. The use of varacus is completely decorative. Although the silver used to produce ornaments is edible, it is usually tasteless. It is not easy to come in the eastern markets. Outside India, this may have to be special or even made by hand.
