What is yogilates®?

Yogilates® is a form of exercise that combines movements inspired by pilates and hatha yoga. The aim of the system is to draw from mutually beneficial features from both styles. Yogilates® classes tend to follow the basic structure of HATHA yoga class, with the establishment of a quiet tone, fine warm -up exercises, strength and stretching movements, and then meditation. The typical routine begins with the heating of the Pilates exercise and proceeds to a number of positions similar to those that are practiced in Hatha yoga.

Yogilates® practical and instructor invented Jonathan Urla in invented Yogilates® in 1997. The style is based on shared characteristics between Pilates and Hatha Yoga, such as their focus on breathing, flexibility and the strength of fluid movement. There are different levels of exercise program that usually proceed from less demanding underfloor work to a more demanding position. Common movements include lifts of arms and legs together are walking, arching, body roles and lifts.

The purpose of the Pilates movements is also to help yoga performance by building the force needed for a smooth transition and holding various positions. The claimed benefits of Yogilates® practice include stress relief, improved flexibility, better balance and greater core strength. Since several movements are exercising bearing weight, they are also believed that routines help build the power of bones. It is a method of low impact on how to exercise several muscles in the body.

The transition between movements should be performed in a fine, liquid way that stresses or decreases to the body. Because routines are composed of separate movements, they can be easily adjusted for different levels of fitness and physical schopicked.
