What is the croquet?

Croquette is a small patty made of meat, potatoes or vegetables. These ingredients are mixed together, then covered with bread crumbs and deeply fried to form a golden, crunchy outer shell. While the croquet can serve as refreshments and full food, it is most valued for portability, making it a favorite food. The name of Croquette is probably derived from the French verb Croquer, which means shredding.

Many people mistakenly believe that this food was created in France, but in fact it can be traced to the early Roman Empire. The Romans used pastries similar to a coating around meat or vegetables to create a bowl known as Rissoles. This recipe has spread throughout Europe over time and at the beginning of the 18th century the French were the first to use the breadcrumbs instead of traditional pastries. The first written record of the Crotets in the United States came in a cookbook from the end of the 19th century. Croats remain popular in various forms throughout Asia, Europe and America.

Croquette may contain a wide range of ingredients mixed together, or can only be composed of one basic filling. Among the most popular fillers are ground or chopped beef, pork and chicken, followed by sausage and fish. Bay or chopped potatoes also appear hard, as well as peas, cabbage and other vegetables. Some croquet recipes require cheese and different spices, while others are mild. Cheaper or lower quality croquettes often contain binders or fillers such as bread or cheap vegetables.

This meal is often influenced by regional preferences and traditions. In the UK, the croquet is a strictly potato bowl and rarely is made of meat. People in the United States enjoy fried fish or crab cakes as well as salmon patties. In South America, croquettes often contain ground chicken or fish, while Europeaans focuses on varieties filled with beef and sausage. In the Asian countries KrYkette usually contains vegetables and potatoes with very small meat.

When served as refreshments, croquettes often come with special sauce or mustard. They can be used as an appetizer or sell at street fairs and in barch. In some countries, the croquet is served next to the soup or other party to create a complete meal. It can also be stuffed into a piece of bread to create a simple sandwich or overwhelmed with tomato sauce to form a goulash bowl.
