What is a hot pot?

A hot pot is a popular municipal food in many kitchens. Usually it has a boiled broth kettle located in the center of the dining table with a series of raw, cooking ingredients. Ingredients include meat, seafood and vegetables, as well as noodles or dumplings. Foods can be added to a hot pot with skewers or chopsticks. The spices and immersion of the sauce can also be served with hot pot food. The hot pot is served in a metal container with a shallow circular ditch for the broth surrounding the high chimney for burning coal to pull the broth. The clay containers can be used for dining rooms for hot pots and warmer can be installed as accessories in the dining table.

These meals are popular throughout China, where they are called fiery pots. There are many regional styles, especially in Beijing and in the provinces of Szechuan, Yunan and Canton. Chinese -Kuchýchně includes Mongol and Manchurian hot pots and Tai -wan has its own regional style.

Japanese hot pots are called Chankkonabe, Shabu Shabu and Sukiyaki. Chankkonabe is a hearty stew that is popular among Sumo wrestlers. Shabu Shabu is a lighter meal with a thin cut beef as a main ingredient in the broth of seaweed called dashi. Sukiyaki is a combination of beef, tofu and vegetables in the broth of soy sauces, sugar and mirina, with raw eggs like spices.

In Thailand, Suki Hot Pots have fresh ingredients in a bright broth with chili paste, lime and coriander sauce. In Vietnam there are hot pots called lauMade of fish in the sour broth. Malaysian steamships have seafood as the main ingredient in the broth with lemon grass, lime and ginger.

Fondue is a European version of a hot pot, with changes in Swiss, French and Italian cuisine. Fondue pots are filled with oil for cooking meat and cheese sauces for soaking bread. Fruits or cakes can also immerse in Fondue chocolate.
