The recipe allows flexibility, because the pan can add a wide range of ingredients, often consisting of the remaining meat and vegetables available. In Belize, cooking is considered a cultural food. It is considered to be the original recipe for cooking, using ingredients such as fish, boiled eggs and vegetables such as yarn, cassava and tomatoes. Maori people in New Zealand also prefer the cooking method and became TRATIONAL MISH. Other maSO can be used, such as beef chest, tails, lamb cutlets or pigs head and trusters.

Boys dough is traditionally added to the boiling pot about 20 minutes after serving. They are similar to dumplings and are made of soft dough and insert them into the tposune to poach. The dough enlarges the dough and absorb part of the liquid from the mixture and add to their taste. When the food is served, everyone must receive the boy for the dough.
Warecress can be added about 15 minutes after serving. This gives him a chance to cook and soften without breaking up and disappearing into the mixture. The bases of the stems are discarded and the cress washed and added withe to the pan. Puha, spinach, cabbage or other green leafy vegetables can also be added along with watercress.
