What is Chutney?

Chodney is similar to consistency as jelly, salsa or taste and is used as sweet and acidic spices. It is usually fresh, it can contain a wide range of fruits, vegetables and spices. The ingredients are mixed together and then boiled slowly. While Strajney is primarily sweet and acidic, there may also be many variations of spices, often gives it a hot and spicy taste.

Dating from India in the 17th century was imported from India to Western Europe. European reproductions of this spice were often called "mango" fruits and vegetables, because one of the most common fruits used in the production of sweet chutney is mango.

as jams and jelly, chutney can be robust or smooth. In India, spicy varieties usually serve with curry and often with cold meat and vegetables. Sweet Strachney is a pleasant addition to bread or biscuits and cheeses and can serve as refreshments or small food.

Some more popular ingredients for this spice, except mango, are lime, apples, peaches, plums, apricots, tomatoes, lemons and even coconuts. Other spices may include cloves, garlic, coriander, mustard, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, jalapenos, tamarind and mint. Strachney is so diverse that it can only be made with a few of these ingredients or more to create different flavors and styles.

Chodney usually consumes fresh in its native India, but as it has been westernized, just like many things it is in bulk and can be purchased in almost any supermarket in the Western world. In the United States and Britain, offering chutney as a spice becomes almost as popular as pits, enjoyment and even ketchup. It can be served for a formal dinner as a spice for decorative food or on an informal picnic with tortilla chips or biscuits. Whatever occasion, it provides tasty, sweet and sour delicacies.
