What is Misua?
MISUA, also MISWA, are extremely thin Chinese noodles made of wheat. They are a little thinner than the already thin rice vermicelli, but wheat gives them a texture somewhat as an exceptionally thin pasta. When they are dry, they are almost white and look somewhat like a bundle of fragile gray hair or slightly as a spotless bird's nest. These noodles are very universal in Chinese cuisine because they are served with many supplementary foods and can be fried for use as a decoration or cooked in soups and salads. Misua is sometimes marked with Vermicelli's wheat in stores. Since the noodles are so thin, cook and quickly soften in hot water, so fast that it sometimes mixes into a soup that has already been removed from heat. Sometimes these thin noodles are added directly to the hot broth in the serving bowl to freshly cooked in cooling food. The aim of heating missua is not to cook it hard to cook them, but easily soften them in a bowl.
