What is Pearl Tapioca?

Pearl Tapioca is a starch meal made of the root Manihot Esculenta , commonly called Kasava, Manioc or Yuca. Pearl Tapioca gets its name from its shape; Starch Kasava is made up of balls on average about one to eight millimeters. Pearly Tapioca is the most common form of Tapioca products around the world, although starch can also be created in powder, flakes or sticks. Pearl Tapioca is also called Bob and is a popular component of Asian desserts.

One of the most famous meals using pearl tapiok is tapioca pudding, milk or coconut milk with very small pearls, sometimes called "fish eggs" or "frog friction". Bob or bubble tea, invented on Tai -wan, is another popular use of Pearl Tapioca. Bob drinks usually use tea with fruit juice or milk, although there are many variations on the recipe. The pearl sago is more often used by the pearl, but the starch extracted from the palm of SAGO ( Metroxylon Sagu ). Pearls Tapioca are increasingly used in salty and sweet foods.

Pearl tapioca is white if it is not treated but is available in different colors. The most traditional color for Tapioca pearls used in Bob tea beverages are dark brown. Pearly Tapioca provides chewing texture and accepts the taste of everything they are served with.

Before use in food, tapioca pearls must be processed by soaking that restores their moisture and gives them their chews consistency. Tapioca is opaque before soaking, butIt then becomes translucent. After water absorption, the pearls can increase twice their size.
