What is curried tofu?
As many nonvegetarians know, tofu is an amazingly adaptable food. Curried Tofu, which is simply tofu, to which one of the almost infinite number of curry combinations has been added, can be served as a sandwich filling, salad or as a hot bowl along with brown basmati rice, potatoes or other side dishes. Tofu curry can be sharply spicy or humming with a finer taste. While this perfectly serving mixture works well when time is limited, the nature of curry means that a little predictive and a dash of creativity will bring courier food that is much more unforgettable. The first step is to determine whether tofu is to be cold, such as salad, side dish or sandwich span or hot, as the main meal.
Great, cold tofu salad can be constructed tofu and briefly marinate in small orange juice and a small amount of slightly flavored oil and either prepared curry or paste. After the tofu is removed from the marinade, it throws it with salad, basil leaves and salad vegetables such as baby carrots, onSliced peppers and cucumber, result in light, but fill and healthy lunch. This salad can accumulate for a hearty dinner with the addition of cooked children's potatoes or cold boiled barley, quinoa or other grain.
For hot tofu with Indian undertones, the home cook can start marinating cubic tofu in coconut milk, to which any number of herbs, spices and other flavors have been added. A small Indian curry paste can be added for a milder taste or more paste to form a curry with zing. Fresh ginger and ground garlic are a necessity and many chefs swear that the addition of crushed or ground basil, pressing lime, and some lemon grass revives curry. After marinating, the tofu cubes can be slightly coated with corn starch and roasted in hot oil along with green beans, potatoes, carrots or other vegetarians.
Caribbean Kari is another popular. By adding some chopped peaches or pears, a handful of dried cranberries, pineapple or raisins and someChuprocel will cause guests an oath that they can feel tropical ocean air. The remaining Caribbean tofu Kari can be crushed for sandwich filling or slipped into the Empanado dough by a fried cake.
